Your introduction to breath hold diving. You will have a full overview on the history of the sport and how it evolved into the safe lifestyle we enjoy today. This is your progression from snorkeling on the surface and is very different. You will learn staged breathing and proper relaxation. This course includes an open water session to experiment with equalization.

AIDA2 FREEDIVER

Introduction to the freefall, the breathing cycle, relaxation of body and mind, finning technique, duck dive, equalization, use of buoyancy, basic physiology, equipment, safety, freediving disciplines.

This class will program your breathing, streamline your swimming and give you full confidence in an open water environment. Full preparation to AIDA3.

AIDA3 ADVANCED FREEDIVER

Additional knowledge on freediving safety and how to optimize the buddy system, Frenzel equalization, underwater pressure, in-depth human physiology, barotrauma, lungs at depth, the mammalian dive reflex, decompression sickness, surface intervals, blackout, risk mitigation, code of conduct.

And everything you will ever need to know!

By the end of this class you will be fully ready to convert freediving skills into practical “go get it” skills. This will also unlock our HALO classes SPEARFISHING and ROOFTOPDIVING.
